ADVICES AFTER V-LINE CHIN IMPLANT SURGERY AT EMCAS:

To help reduce the initial swelling, you'll have a chin strapping (tape) over the chin. This can be removed after a couple of days or left before the first post-operative appointment of the following week.

For the first two days, any bleeding and swelling will occur and recovery to normal activity takes 7-14 days. For several months (often 9-12 months) after surgery, when all the swelling has settled, the final defined form of the new chin will not be fully appreciated.

In order to allow the wound to heal, a soft diet is usually recommended for the first few days. Usually, antibiotics and mouthwash will be provided and during this period, good oral hygiene is very important.
