When diet and exercise fail to achieve the waistline that you have always wanted
When you get tired of having a saggy abdominal area and loose skin
It’s the time to put tummy tuck in your to-do list
The combination of liposuction, skin excision, and tissue tightening that make up a tummy tuck (also called an abdominoplasty). This procedure is designed for those who wish to have a flatter and tighter stomach. It is also commonly performed for ladies after they have completed their family and some assistance in the removal of not just the excess lower abdominal tissue, but also removal of the stretch marks that result from pregnancy and correction of any umbilical herniations. The scar of the tummy tuck is well-hidden where a caesarean scar might be.
Mini vs. Complete Tummy Tuck
  • Complete tummy tuck: The abdomen will be cut from hipbone to hipbone by the surgeon and then the skin, tissue, and muscle will be contoured as required. The surgery will also require moving your belly button.
  • Mini tummy tuck: often done on individuals below the navel whose fat deposits are located. The surgeon would most likely not move the belly button during this procedure

For men or females who were once obese and still have excess fat deposits or loose skin around the abdomen, a tummy tuck (or abdominoplasty) is an effective solution to their problem areas. It can also provide muscle placation or muscle tightening to stretch abdominal muscles so that your firmer shape can be maintained afterwards.

The treatment may be helpful for women who have undergone several pregnancies to tighten their abdominal muscles and reduce their skin.
** If you're a woman hoping to get pregnant, you might want a tummy tuck to be postponed until you're done having children. Do you plan on losing a lot of weight? A tummy tuck, then, isn't for you either.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Tummy tuck:
Q: Will I be in pain?
A: The amount of tummy tuck pain is fairly variable. A mild amount of discomfort is reported by some people and some say it is more severe. You will be given a prescription from our surgeon for pain relievers.
Q: Do I have to lose weight to get a tummy tuck? Do scars from tummy tuck go away?
A: In fact, customers who are closest to their ideal weight are more likely to achieve the best aesthetic outcome. Being overweight from both the anesthesia and the procedure itself escalates the complications of surgery. You are at greater risk of complications including slow wound healing, if you are clinically obese. Also, a tummy tuck does not remove the visceral deep fat around your organs and is not a weight-loss surgery. You are always encouraged to be at your ideal weight before tummy tuck.
Q: Do scars from tummy tuck go away?
A: Ideally, having no scar would be wonderful, but that isn't possible – yet. Scarring is an inevitable part of tummy tuck surgery, and the scars will never go away completelyMost of the time, our surgeons would use procedures that leave a scar that a normal bikini could hide.
For more information about tummy tuck, please schedule a consultation with our experienced surgeons.
  • Discuss with your surgeon what your hope to achieve, what may or may not be possible given your existing body anatomy, type and skin elasticity,
  • Working with VECTRA XT 3D imaging system to visualize what the potential outcome of your surgery will be,
  • Comprehensive discussion regarding risks and complications,
  • Previous medical history, underlying medical conditions, a complete list of all medications you are taking, birth control, allergies etc. will also be recorded.
  • Strictly NO food and drink including water for 6-8 hours before surgery. Having food or drink in your system could cause complications from the anesthesia,
  • Stop smoking before your procedure for a few weeks to avoid nicotine-related risks,
  • Do not take medications that could increase bleeding, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and aspirin. Avoid supplements that have similar effects, like vitamin E and fish oil,
  • You must be cleared for surgery by appropriate pre-surgery screening (blood test, EKG, X-ray, ultrasound etc.) in accordance with your surgeon's instructions and our Patient Safety requirements,
  • Choose clothes that will be comfortable (loose-fitting clothes and slip-on shoes). You shouldn't wear contact lenses, accessories like jewelry, watches, wigs or hairpins. Do not apply any products to your skin or hair the morning of surgery,
  • Line up a family member or friend to drive you home after your procedure or post-operative care since you will be receiving anesthesia.
Surgeon at EMCAS performs tummy tuck in our hospital under general anesthesia (so you’re asleep). He or she will make a very low incision (hip bone area), so this makes it easier to hide the resulting scar beneath underwear or swimming suits. In certain cases, an incision can be made vertically along the navel. The surgeon may then use liposuction to contour the abdomen until an incision has been made. In order to restore strength to this area, the abdominal muscles will be stitched together and any excess skin removed to get rid of stretch marks. Repositioning the belly button to a natural-looking position is also a very significant part of the surgery.
Right after the procedure: You will have caring services: checking up, giving medicines, bandage changing, advising, supporting frequently through hotline by EMCAS's customer service staffs. If you are on general anesthesia, it is strictly advisable for an overnight stay at the hospital for monitoring with someone to take care of you. If you are on local anesthesia, then you can go home and rest. However, you are not allowed to drive by yourself.
You can see the after effects: swelling, bruises and numbness in the operated area. Most of your discomfort will be well-controlled by the prescribed medication.
You should wear compression garments from now, continuously for 3 to 6 weeks. This will allow your body to conform to its new shape and also reduce swelling.
After tummy tuck surgery, several individuals will return to work after 2 weeks, but this depends on how comprehensive the surgery is and what you do for a living.
Direct routine checkups in every one/ three/ 6 months and annually at hospital.
Tummy tuck takes a long time to heal completely. To maintain the new shape, make a choice for a balanced diet that includes lean meat, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy. Also, you should do exercise regularly to maintain the result.
